Big Plans for Africa and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation?
Logan, Utah-A private jet landed earlier today in Abuja, Nigeria. Those coming off the jet included Bill and Melinda Gates and Ted Turner. They were seen meeting with African officials. Mayor Malik Ok, mayor of Abuja, Nigeria, was interviewed, however, not much detail has been let out concerning the meetings of these high rank individuals. Ok did state that some meetings and phone conversations had been taking place between he and members of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation over the last several months. Ok said, “We have made arrangements not to discuss specifics but I can say that these are very generous people. They have interest in raising education in my city and country. I believe they have our interest at heart.” Ok also stated that the individuals from his city would build new buildings that will hold health classes. The education that will be offered will be health education. Too many people in Africa are dying from diseases that can be avoided such as polio, malaria, HIV, etc. “With the proper education our people will not be inflicted with these diseases.” Said Ok.
Africa does not have the funds to educate their people to the level they want. With the help coming from Ted Turner, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the donations that have come from Warren Buffet a higher education will be available. The education will not be that of certificates or degrees, but will be a way to living a better, healthier life, and being able to support oneself more efficiently.
With not a lot to say, Bill Gates was found for a short interview. Gates said, “Nothing specific has been announced, but it looks like in the next few months something involving education, and millions of dollars (many thanks to Warren Buffet) will be taking place. We are going to help out with health education.”
With nothing set in stone as of yet, Africa is looking at a ten-year plan. They will receive funding for approximately ten years before their own government will be able to take over and fund the education themselves. Local city members will be trained and be able to teach the classes themselves, keeping the education alive.

There were a couple of parts where it just didn't flow all that well, but you got all the important information in the article and that is important. I thought you did a good job though.

Have you ever been to Africa?
I've been to Africa, I think? Is it near Mexico?
I pledge $10 to this effort. Where do I send it?
